Indigo Dyed Tea Towels or Cloth Napkins Tuesday, September 9, 1-3 $55 includes all materials to dye 4 tea towels or cloth napkins (let me know which you prefer when you register!) and a 2 hour lesson. Learn different folding techniques in this class to make unique tea towels or napkins. Make a matching set of 4, or 4 completely different and learn how magical indigo dye is! The techniques learned can be used to dye clothes and fabric. Tea Towels are big enough to use as baby receiving blankets! Wet Felted Birdhouse Workshop Wednesday, September 10, 12-2pm $55 includes all materials and a 2 hour lesson. Beginner friendly! Learn how to wet felt on a 3 dimensional resist using wool and alpaca. You will leave the class with a finished birdhouse! Felted Soap Workshop Wednesday September 10, 5-6:30 $40 includes all materials and a 1 1/2 hour lesson. Beginner friendly! Learn how to wet felt using alpaca and wool. In this class, you will finish two bars of felted soap. Temari Ball Workshop Thursday September 11, 12-3 $85 includes all materials and a 3 hour lesson. Come to the farm and learn the traditional Japanese folk art craft of making Temari Balls! In their most simple form, Temari Balls are embroidered spheres. In this class you will learn what goes into making the core of the ball, how to do a simple 8 division, and how to add the intricately stitched designs. (I promise they are easier to make than they look!) This class is beginner friendly and no previous stitching skills are required. All materials will be provided to make 1 Temari Ball. You will not be able to finish during the class but you will have a great understanding of the craft and will be able to finish at home. Basket Making- Beginner Solid Base, Twill Basket Tuesday, September 16th, 12-5 $120 includes all materials and a 5 hour lesson. You will make and finish a round basket in this workshop! No prior basket making skills needed. This basket is designed for beginners. The skills you will learn include learning how to work with a solid wood base, how to twine, how to weave a twill pattern, cut & tuck, and rim lashing. Pack a lunch or snacks to eat at the farm. You will leave with a finished basket! Beginner Crochet Lessons: Wednesdays September 17 & 24, 5-6:30 $70 includes hook, yarn, and 2 (1 1/2 hour) lessons. All beginner crochet lessons are available by appointment as well! Reach out if you would like to schedule a time. Beginner lessons are up to 4 people, so grab a friend, and learn something new!
